Privacy policy

Privacy is an essential part of mental health care. This policy explains which personal data we process, why we process it and what rights you have. We process data in accordance with Albanian Law No. 124/2024 "On the protection of personal data" and, for patients from the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

2. When you visit our website

The website is served by Cloudflare. With every visit, the server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser type. This data is used only to run the website securely and to protect it against attacks, and it is kept for a short period.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google.

3. Cookies

Our website does not set cookies and does not track you. That is why we do not ask for cookie consent.

The map on the contact page is loaded from Google Maps only if you click "Show map". Only then does Google receive your IP address and may set cookies, under Google's privacy policy. Links to Instagram and WhatsApp take you to external services with their own privacy policies.

4. When you contact us

You can contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email. The booking form on our website stores nothing: it only prepares a message that you send yourself via WhatsApp or your email app. We use your name, contact details and message only to reply and to arrange your appointment.

Please do not send us sensitive medical information via WhatsApp or email. We discuss it confidentially during your appointment.

5. When you are a patient

For consultations and treatment we process your identification data and health data, which is a special category of personal data. We process it only for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, to meet the legal obligations for medical documentation and, where required, with your consent. All our staff are bound by professional confidentiality.

Online consultations take place via a secure, GDPR-compliant telemedicine platform.

6. Who receives your data

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. It may only be passed to providers who support us technically (e.g. website hosting and email), who are obliged to protect it, or to authorities where the law requires it.

7. How long we keep it

We keep contact messages for as long as needed to reply and arrange your appointment. Medical records are kept for the periods required by law for medical files. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

• to request information about and a copy of your data
• to have inaccurate data corrected
• to request deletion or restriction of processing, where the law allows
• to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time
• to request the transfer of your data

To exercise these rights, write to takim@serafeimcare.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Albanian Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection (idp.al) or, if you live in the EU, with the supervisory authority in your country.

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always available on this page.
